## Jesus had been beaten by 1. The temple official's servants, 2. Pilate's Soldiers 3. Herod's Soldiers Jesus could not carry his cross.
## on the way to Golgotha (Calvary) 1. They insulted him, He did not revenge 2. They beaten and He did not threaten.
## The thief's considerations 1. Jesus' calmness. 2. The inscription "King of the Jews." 3. Jesus is truly a king. If not, He would have fought back.
The other thief's accusation became an opportunity to voice his allegiance.
## The Character of Jesus #### 1. He was exhausted, but did not miss the opportunity to save a willing soul. #### 2. He did not beg the other thief to repent. It is good to allow people choose heaven or hell for themselves.
## The character of the thief #### 1. He was sincere. He acknowledge his win and that he was worthy of the consequences he was getting. #### 2. The condemned thief was more worthy of the Kingdom of God than a priest officiating in the Passover feast.
